Description
Empire Zone is a Russian perfume house with its own production in Moscow. The brand’s assortment includes author perfumery, home fragrances, candles, and skincare cosmetics. To create fragrances, the company uses raw materials from French Grasse, and the development of each fragrance includes dozens of trials and tests.
Today the Empire Zone team consists of about 130 people, and the brand’s spaces operate in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Minsk. Openings are planned in Kazan, Novosibirsk, and Yekaterinburg. The company develops its own network, does not work with marketplaces, and does not sell a franchise, betting on the development of its own brand and direct interaction with the audience.
Before launching Empire Zone, Tata Kalnitskaya worked as a blogger and editor and also wrote the book “Without Filters.” During the pandemic she decided to bring to life her own vision of perfumery and create a brand that would reflect her idea of fragrances and their role in a person’s life. Tata invested personal funds in the launch of Empire Zone, beginning a path that over time led to the creation of her own production and the development of the company.
On October 24, Tata Kalnitskaya will speak at the forum’s open microphone. How to turn an author’s idea into a working business? How to build one’s own production and develop a brand without marketplaces and a franchise? What challenges does an entrepreneur face when scaling a company? Tata will talk about this and her personal experience of building Empire Zone at the meeting.
