100 questions for Vladislav Ivanenko – learn how a private space business is built and how satellites help industry on Earth

Special project
Date:
24 October
Time:
11:30-12:45

Description

Private space in Russia is no longer an exotic niche: small satellites are built by small teams, and students and schoolchildren take part in launching spacecraft that operate in orbit. How does an engineer become an entrepreneur in a high-tech industry? How does serial production of satellites differ from one-off manufacturing, and what is needed to set it up? How can a small business obtain grant support and avoid depending on it alone? What steps help enter foreign markets with high-tech products?

In the "100 Questions for a Successful Industrialist" format, Vladislav Ivanenko, founder and director of Ctrl-Space, will answer questions from the moderator and the audience about his path from an engineering education to his own company, about mistakes and lessons, space education, and talent for the industry. Special attention will be given to practical advice for young professionals and students: where to start a career in space and which skills will be in demand in the coming years. Participants will learn how the industry works from the inside and will be able to ask questions in person.
